4/11/07:
Today I cried uncontrollably at work because; yesterday, Tuesday April 10th 2007, I met a "Quiet Stranger". And now; Man or Woman that person weighs on my heart. If it was Man he is probably my ‘Soul Mate’, if it is a woman she is probably my new ‘Best Friend’. I met him/her, or did I, on the road HOME, on I95. We played a game of tag/leap frog(as my son calls it) with our cars. But just when I thought we had a connection..... my son had to pee... LOL... When we got to the state I belonged to, I had to get off at a rest area and you Quiet Stranger, will know which one.
What can I tell all of you? He/She had a BMW, Dark Colored, All Tinted windows and what I believe were; North Carolina Plates. It started in the state where I NEVER belonged in the 1st place and ended at a particular exit of the state that I should have never left. We lost each other during my sons 'pee pee stop' lol, but were found again because he/she obviously slowed down for me to continue our game of tag/leap frog, to my dismay however, we were still separate because even as perfect strangers, we thought about one another; he/she thought I'd go were I belonged and I thought he/she'd go where they belonged and just when I spotted them I had no time to cut across the lanes of traffic nor was I willing to disrupt traffic in that manner. I started to cross at one of the openings that the Troopers prey upon us at but decided that too might disrupt traffic and was by now a $60 dollar ticket as I’ve done that in the past to keep up with my family reunion convoy it was $40 then.
My Quiet Stranger, how many times did we cross each other always looking in on the one another. ALOT!!!!! I'd speed up to pass, get in the 1st lane and slow down in front of you and you'd do the same. I know you saw my plate clearly because of something you did; you probably even saw my sticker in my back window through my tint. However, I can not see very well at night without glasses which by the way I refuse to wear, therefore I did not get your plate. I have an idea about which exit you got off but only you can confirm, I believe it was my exit but I went to the next rest area to cross over and you were gone. You also know the appx. time we played our game. I was exhausted from 36 hours of sleep deprivation and knew I should not drive late, but as always I had to go to work the next day. As well, I had to comfort my son and his tears upon leaving his old school and friends which he misses dearly. Then again, I had to comfort him and his tears upon leaving his older brother and sister for the umpteenth time until they graduate from their MD High School on May 29th and come home for good. All of these things played a part in my exhaustion.
Well Quiet Stranger, I hope you too made it to your home safely as did I and I hope my thoughts of you find you, your family and friends and those you love most; safe, healthy and wealthy. Because were it not for our game of tag/leap frog keeping me alert and awake on my journey home; I may have fallen asleep and my family, friends and all those my son and I love most, may have not seen either or one of us another day! THANX Quiet Stranger, be BLESSED for the rest of you life. Remember this, I've been called a lot of bad names by people who claim to love me, and I don't care what bad names you've been called recently if any. One persons JUNK is another persons TREASURE!!!!! I don't care if you are a pimp, a US Marine, a liar or a cheater (just don't be a Child Molester or a Wife Beater) and know that on Tuesday, April 10th 2007 my Quiet Stranger, for me and my son; you were our Guardian Angel!!!
Lastly, my Quiet Stranger, from the bottom of my heart and crying again uncontrollably as I write this letter: THANK YOU for saving mine and my sons life; without mouth to mouth, without a blood transfusion but mostly without even knowing us. And Honestly Man or Woman………. I LOVE YOU.
